DPS on Nov 14th 2015- 13th session- Hypertension, the menace of the century

Despite rain VGSC conference hall was filled with public interested in knowing about hypertension. Dr Sarita spoke on the causes of hypertension and the variations of Bp through out the day. HTN does not cause symptoms and thus can be missed until the organs are damaged. role of ambulatory BP monitor, treatment of hypertension and the importance of lifestyle in stressed upon. quiz on hypertension, had a great response and everyone felt the acheivement. Being the last session for the year, feedback on the topics was taken. On demand Dr kailash had to sing songs which brought smiles to all faces.

As the response and quality is appreciated, VGSC decided to continue DPS for another year. this time with Practical sessions.
