DPS on March 12th- painless Insulin and more- 16th session

Started on time with Dr Sarita introducing Anbudas, a Diabetes patient educator to the attendees. Anbudas through a slide presentation walked attendeees through the purpose, preparation and uses of insulin. Different types of insulin, their characteristics, differences, time to take and how to take is explained in a very simple and in lay mans terms. available devices as vials and pens, their storing and injecting techniques were demonstrated and all were given a chance to use it. Dr Syed Hafeezullah and Dr Sarita took the questions and cleared the doubts of all the attendees on Insulin. Reasons for painful injection as the temperature, needle size/reuse and the technique to avoid pain is demonstrated.
